Viggo Mortensen donated a piece of his own artwork to the Children's Clinic in Watertown. The piece is called Sunshine on a Plain Wall.
Mortensen, originally from Watertown, is a long time supporter of the clinic. He feels strongly that children should have health care and donated the piece to be an inspiration to patients.
'It's a mixed media piece, so there is some paint; there is some actual handwriting in the work. There's scratching in the circular motions you can see so like him it's a complex work,' said Jenna Cleaves, director of development at the clinic.
Cleaves says other paintings of Mortensen can be seen in the movie A Perfect Murder, with Gwyneth Paltrow.
