Ali Gracie - Multimedia Artist

Themes explore the beauty and complexity of nature, conservation and appreciation of the natural world.
In photography and film I enjoy exploring the concept of time. Capturing subjects in natural light. Interested in theatrical lighting, 'Chiaroscuro' light and dark shadows. Creating night time photography and videos, magic of city lighting and night time activity. Also developing multimedia projects.

Enjoy photographing public events. Examples- Street Performance artists. Rock concerts. Also theatre groups at Dublin Fringe Festival.

I am also influenced by science, history, films and music.

Travel and other cultures also deeply influence my work.

I am currently creating photography, digital imagery, short films, drawings and watercolours.
Subjects explored are landscape, light, Chiaroscuro, films, and history.
I am currently creating landscape art, portraits and also creating artworks influenced by the Chiaroscuro technique.

Exhibited with artists in the UK and from America, Japan, Korea, Ireland, Cyprus, France and Holland.
