-On Oct. 21, "Green Book," starring Academy Award nominee Viggo Mortensen and Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali, will be featured as the closing film with director Peter Farrelly and Mortensen in attendance. The film features a bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx who is hired to drive world-class pianist Dr. Don Shirley, played by Ali, on a concert tour from Manhattan to the Deep South. They must rely on "The Green Book" to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African-Americans.
A lovely comment by Peter Farrelly in Screen Daily got me thinking about all the Directors Viggo has worked with, how deep the collaborations have become and how complete their faith in him is. Is there a Director out there who doesnt want the chance to work with Viggo? Im betting not
Hes Viggo Mortensen it didnt even occur to me that he couldnt pull it off. I wasnt hoping he could do it, I knew he could do it.

'Ultimately, you create your own luck. Fate does step in. When we ended up with Viggo, fate was dealing us a very kind hand. Viggo, in hindsight, was the one person who was perfect for this film. He came out of nowhere, and suddenly there was Aragorn.'
